Here are some EV vehicle sales numbers extracted from an Electric Mobility Canada report for Q1 2019. This includes BEV and PHEV.
The top 3 models by sales in Q1 2019 are: 1. Tesla Model 3 (1594), 2. Hyundai Kona (1163), 3. Mitsubishi Outlander (710). Seems like the Kona is chasing the model 3 though we believe Model 3 deliveries in Q1 were slower than usual due to significant deliveries to Europe and China. Underlying data shows model 3 had 70% of its sales in March (presumably for that reason).
Canada now has 100,000 EVs!
Q2 numbers promise to be even better, with the inclusion of the federal incentive on EVs.
